Senior Photos :: Titus

May 19, 2009

We met up with Titus, Kari and Tressa at the beautiful home of Karen and Ralph Munro. We were granted special privilege to spend a sunny afternoon hiking around and goofing off on their incredible property – acres and acres of land, alternating between forest and meadows, leading to the Mud Bay shore.  There is a current archaeological dig site on the property – where baskets and other artifacts dating back 500 years have been found preserved in the mud.

Titus’ dad created many artistic Tribal carvings during his life – and his very first one happened to be a Welcome Pole  that stands near the shore at the edge of the Munros’ property, so we were sure to get a couple images of Titus at the foot of his dad’s premier piece.

Titus is a baseball player – in fact his team was playing in the district tournament the day after our shoot.  Seems like art runs in the family – in August, he’ll be heading off to the Art Institute of Seattle to study culinary arts.  I asked what dish is his favorite to cook….in true ‘guy’ form he said, “MEAT” :-)

After we left the Munro property, we headed to Olympia for some shots from a different perspective….Titus’ easy laugh and up-for-anything style made the afternoon so fun – we all had a blast :)

Class of 2009 Senior ~ Jessica

April 16, 2009

What a beautiful spring day! Jessica and her mom Lynette met us in downtown Olympia for her senior portraits and we walked all over – the weather couldn’t have been better – - we had a blast!

Check out a few favorites – it’s SO hard to pick just a few….

Jess is a soulful beauty, soft spoken but quick to laugh.  It’s obvious that “fun” is a big part of her style.  We hear she is a force to be reckoned with in the athletic world – she is a lefty pitcher on the fastpitch team and looks forward to continuing her basketball at the college level next year.

We stopped and made the most of the fact that the park trees were in full, gorgeous bloom!

Jessica “re-enacted” her recent tolo photos, minus the big, crazy black glasses? ;)

Isn’t she beautiful?  By the time we finished this part of the shoot she literally had a crowd of admirers watching!

Class of 2009 Senior Portraits ~ Jennifer

April 7, 2009

Home for Jennifer is the beach town of Taholah (lucky girl!) so she was ready for an urban change of scenery – downtown Tacoma made the perfect setting. We lucked out weather-wise, too – after several days of wind, rain and snow (!!) we got to head out into a crisp, sunny afternoon for Jenn’s senior session.  Mom Mariah and little sister Nicole came along for our fun spring field trip.

Jenn admitted she was a little nervous when we got started, but after just a few minutes she got into it big time and we had a great time. :)

Isn’t she a natural – and what a knockout! :-)

Look out, world – beauty, great sense of fun and brains, too!  In the fall Jenn is headed to the UW for pre-med studies.

Spike is Jenn’s 6-month old pug ‘baby’ – like Jenn, he was a little nervous at first, but became a natural talent in no time :-)

Olympia High – Class of 2009 – Chelsea

October 17, 2008

Chelsea and her mom met us at the Olympia Yacht Club for her senior portriats – we got to shoot all over the waterfront and then she set sail in her own little sailboat and gave a show of her skills – when we were done she sailed off into the sunset – literally! ;-)
