Calysta said that the second she saw the photos on our website, she knew we were the ones - that would help her to create photos that are not just unique, but truly represent who she is – we LOVE working with clients who get what we’re all about!

After taking some time to scout the local area for the perfect location, Calysta planned her fun photo session at Carlyon Beach, near Steamboat Island. She definitely prepared in advance ;) – admitted she’d spent about 6 hours at Carlyon with a friend, taking turns testing poses and locations – she made our job so easy, knew what she wanted and was up for trying anything we suggested, too!

An artist all her life, Calysta has been exploring her own newly found passion for photography, design and video editing and plans to head to the Art Institute after HS graduation. Her outgoing personality and enthusiasm for taking on new adventures make her one very motivated individual – if her talent behind the camera is anything like her natural abilities as a subject, we have no doubt that she’ll be a raging success! :)

Can you believe how pretty her eyes are? Stunning.

Larissa, a senior at River Ridge High School in Lacey, chose Tumwater Falls Park for her pictures. We lucked out with great weather and the park was crazy busy (guess that’s what happens on a sunny weekend in October). :)

Shelton Senior Photos :: Stephanie R – Class of 2010

Stephanie knows how to work hard and play hard. She’s a member of her HS dance team – plans for after HS include a move to AZ for college and to eventually become a dentist (doesn’t she have a GREAT smile!). We had the chance to catch her outdoors-y side, starting with a hike down to the creek near her house and then heading up the road a half mile or so to her grandma’s ranch so we could include her horse, Chance, in the shoot – such a cool spot for fun photos!

Chance is the sweetest horse – he went along with everything we asked, a great model!

Stephanie has a smile that literally doesn’t quit – this next shot is what we got when we asked her to try to give us some ’serious attitude’ – lol! :)

Stephanie is one of our Class of 2010 senior models – representing mOde at North Thurston High School in Lacey. Erin and I both just loved all the pictures from her session – hard to post just a few!

These were downtown Olympia on a sunny day – we love the downtown area for portraits, so much variety and fun in the locations and backdrops!

Tumwater Senior Photo::Katrina::Class of 2010

Because of the time we’ve spent watching/photographing T-Bird girls’ volleyball, we felt like we already knew Katrina – her fiery drive and constant chatter to pump up her teammates combine with her amazing talent to make her a real standout on the team :) So, we were especially excited when she chose us to create her amazing senior photos! Turns out she carries that fiery nature off the court, too – how could we not have a great time when our client is so ready to have fun in front of our cameras?

Our shoot was off to a great start – even though the tours had ended for the day, we managed to sweet talk the crew of the Lady Washington (docked in Oly for a 3-day visit) into letting letting Bill and Katrina sneak on board for some fun shots….does this ship look at all familiar? ;) hint: ’she’ starred as the HMS Interceptor, stolen to chase down the Black Pearl in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”….sadly, Johnny Depp was nowhere to be found, but we had great fun anyway! (and…for all you Trekkie nerds out there, lol, she also made an appearance in Star Trek Generations….thank you, Wikipedia!! ;)

As our entourage moved through downtown Olympia, we stopped in to (McMenamin’s) The Spar and found inspiration in the amazing historical architecture and eclectic decor….

Not only is Katrina a kick to be around, she has a great sense of style and about a million expressions – and she didn’t hold back! Take a look at these shots and you’ll see what I mean ;)

Olympia Family Portraits :: Derrek, Kelcey, Alyson and Jazmyn

This family is such a kick! These girls couldn’t have been more fun to photograph (and Derrek too, lol). :) It was a perfect day for outdoor portraits – we started at the boardwalk and hit the playground…. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, does it look like we had a great time? (…cuz…..we did!!)

Sisters – need I say more? ;)

Jazmyn’s not gonna be needing those boosts for long!..and…Mom and Dad, don’t blink – Alyson looks so grown up for age 6!!

Although we congratulate Derrek on his promotion within corp management at the Great Wolf Lodge, we’re sorry to hear that this means they’ll be leaving Olympia soon. We all joked that shots like this one will be proof to midwest friends and family that they actually lived in Olympia, WA!

Love how this illustrates the fact that Alyson leads the way – and Jazmyn wants to follow her big sister’s every step! :-)

…and….the big finale…we took a dinner break to wait for the fountains to come back on – it was worth the wait. ;-) Check out this action series of the day with Jazmyn – both girls were amazing sports, and I think they would’ve stayed all night if the fountains were still going!

Jessica and the Vizslas

Vizsla breeder Jill Brennan hired us last year to take some portfolio images of her prize Vizslas — what beautiful energetic dogs! This year she called about a session with her daughter Jessica who’s a senior in high school in Salem, OR. Jessica has her own Vizsla and together they brought 4 dogs out to play in the woods and on the beach at Priest Point. A fun day!

Robin is graduating from River Ridge High School in Olympia. She chose Priest Point Park in Olympia for her portraits – outdoor senior photos are so beautiful this time of year!
